How much sleep do you get?

Weekdays 5-6 hours

Weekends ( non hunting / outdoors stuff ) 8+ hours.

I voted for 5-7, but it is closer to 7.

I am learning that the older I get, the less I need, or the less I am able to sleep. I used to do best with 10 hrs. Once the kids start arriving, you have to learn to kiss those precious hours goodbye :)

Usually the high end of seven, but lots of nights only 5-6 - just depends on my training load and clientel for the day

I have a weirdly erratic sleep schedule that is ever-changing. No matter what I do I can't seem to regulate it! Some nights I get 4 hours of sleep and other nights I get 7-8. I voted 5-7 as that is where it falls within most.

With 2 kids aged 3 and 4 the best i get is 7 hours, often less.

Sleep.... yeah. I voted 5-7 but most of the time its less. And to make it worse, I work nights. It sucks but I have no choice for the moment. When its nice outside I get around 4 and get up to enjoy what little bit of daylight I see. LOL

I'm closer to the 5-6 than 7 hours. If I get 7 I feel I've had quite a good rest.

Eh, I crawl outta bed after 8(+) hours. If I feel tired, and want more, I'll simply go to bed earlier. I need eight hours, though I can get out after three. Usually, though, my eating habits determine my sleeping habits.

i have an 8 month old....have been getting maybe 4 hours straight tops...my sleep has been VERY choppy(few hours here, few there)

just this last 4 days, my girl is sleeping 8+ hours, man i feel so much better during the day

the lack of sleep was really taking it's toll, mentally and physically

Now i get about 7-8 hours of sleep. if i get less than 6 hours i feel crappy and if i get more than 9 hours i feel more depleted with body aches. Luckly my body is good about its internal clock and when i hit 8 hours of sleep i wake up on my own. Plus i've been going to bed and waking up at the same time for about 4 years now so my body wakes up at a certian time everyday without a alarm depending on how tired i am.

I'm one of those people that can sleep an hour wake up and be fully rejoiced. That being said i still on average sleep about 7-9 hours. For a kid i'm relatively strict with my sleeping habits. In by midnight (by choice curfew is 2) do my nightly routine than go to bed, Wake up around 8-10. 8 if i have work anything within 8-10 if i don't.

I found out that the best thing for me is to go to bed early (about 10 pm) and get up early too (5.30 - 6 am). Thatīs about 7 to 8 hours. But when I have the same number of hours in a different time - like 12 to 8, 2 to 10 - I feel like crap and could crawl back under my bed spread and sleep forever.

I try and shoot for 6 to 7 but i normally fall short. I seem to perform better in the morning with less sleep. but the rest of the day i will be garbage. I wonder what factors in that?

Usually I am right around 8. When I was younger if I got at least 4 hours a night I was golden. as I get older that gets a lot harder to keep up with. I just started lifting 2 times a day and it's kicking my ass so I am up to 10hours a night. I am hoping that after a couple weeks I will adjust and go back to 8.

61% of the people who voted get less sleep then what they actually need to provide best results from their workouts and day to day lives! ( 5-7 hours of sleep per night ) Hey I fall into that group too when I voted...and I been changing stuff to hopefully move into the 7-8 hour group !

im the same way, im averaging about 4 hours of sleep nowadays with my new job and feel fine when i first wake up but once work is over im beat. On the other hand if i sleep for 7 or 8 hours i feel tired for a while before i get my energy level up.

I voted 5 - 7 hours. Too much sleep, oddly enough, makes me sluggish.

I'm sitting right at the 4 hour mark for my sleep. Works well for when I have to close shop one night and be at work early the next morning. I've always wondered what the consequences for gaining/loosing weight is with more/less sleep? Seems like the more you're awake, the more calories you'd burn?

Your body needs rest for growing also . The longer you stay awake the more you also need to fuel your body . There are alot of really essential activities in your body that occur when you sleep . Take sleep away you dont allow your body to function normally .
